Well, yet another Christmas of Cheer and Joy! And a little craziness!
Celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus is about the most amazing time of year for us! It is almost like it ties in together everything we try and teach our kids throughout the year. And everything we try to learn and remember and live, ourselves, thoughout the year. It isn't so much like the final exam in high school. But more like the party at the end of the year! To celebrate how much we each have grown and what we have learned throughout! Honouring someone else and the thankfulness we have....the best party I can imagine!
Hearing all my kids tell me it is "Happy Bithday Jesus" melts my heart like I never imagined. I think about people that choose to celebrate the "holiday" Christmas. Or those who do not understand the true meaning of Christmas. And it doesn't irritate me or make me angry. It makes me sad for them. In a small analogy, it is the difference between eating cake, and eating cake that has filling inside and icing on top....and you did no more for it, then the person who is just eating the cake. You just knew which cake to get!
So, my prayer this year is that everyone has a deeper understanding of Christ. And in that they will be amazed at what Decemeber 25th will bring them! JOY JOY JOY!
So, of course we couldn't have Christmas with out a little nuttiness!
My sister was in with her husband and 4 kids, 2 boys(7 and 5) 1 girls(2.5) and 1 baby boy(1year old)...

Choir program

Chloe had her first real Choir performance. She was so excited and L&A knew all the words to each song. They liked seeing Chloe up front. But the best part about the show, her cousins Evan and Grant were there! I have never seen someone so excited in my life!

And the other pics:)

Christmas Pics

So we were working on the good ole Christmas card. I really think we should send out 2...1 with the pictures you finally made look good...and 1 with all the other shots!

Enjoy!

Corbin...Corbin...Where is Corbin

Corbin is about the funniest kid. Anabelle was pretty funny at this age, but I think Corbin may top her. He is very laid back and just laughs at life. Maybe we laugh at him so much he thinks that is what you do in life! He does have a temper on him....but he is so cute he gets away with it! Lately he is finding very creative places to hide! What a turkey!

I am not sure if he is protecting himself from his sisters....or if he is just cold!

Finally Chloe is 5!

Well, I cannot believe sweet Chloe is 5! Seriously, it seems like the other day she was our only little baby at home. Now she is the big sister of 3 siblings! And you thought you were busy the past few years! For 2.5 years she was my only baby. Spoiled and loved, all alone! Then in 15 short months she got 2 sisters and a brother! I have to say that being the oldest of 4, at just 3.5 years old, she has done an amazing job going with the flow. She is my sweet pleaser and just wants everyone to be happy. I love her so dealry and can already tell she has a heart for giving.

She got to have so many celebrations! She had a party at the park with all of her school friends, a party at a dress up place with a few close friends and family, a family dinner! And of course treats to school! Who could ask for more!

Decorating the Tree

We got the tree down and finally decorated! Chloe asked me every day, "When are we going to decorate?" The sad thing was, I couldn't find a night for us to decorate all together. But we finally did! We decorated my mom's tree as well. The kids really enjoyed hanging ornaments.

Happy Gobble Gobble!

Thanksgiving, or Gobble Gobble Day, in our house.....
Well, I haven't kept up well with this log lately! But, I will try. If anything, I need to do it so I can remember when the kids do important things! Such as Corbin is walking! He starting taking steps off and on a few weeks ago! Last Wednesday, the 14th, he walked for my aunt. Finally yesterday he was walking like it was something he has always done! Tonight he walked for cake! Who wouldn't! He looks a little like Frankenstein, but walking all the same!
Chloe was so excited to see her cousins tonight! She really had a great time!
Anabelle, she is so funny. She is so serious about what she has to tell you, but then is so silly about everything she does! Lately, she gets "busted" for doing a lot of reaching things too high and so on. She bends down and grins, trying to make you think she doesn't have any clue what she did wrong!
Laurel, sweet Laurel. She has a bit of a temper lately. She wants or doesn't want what she wants and wants it NOW! But on the flip side of that, she is my cuddle bug. She loves to sit with me and just cuddle. She will give me kisses forever...makes up for Anabelle and Corbin being too busy for kisses! Anyway, tonight she danced for everyone. Very nice for her to entertain us!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Gobble Gobble day and that you found something old and new that you were thankful for!

Firsts

Well, I cannot believe the summer has come and gone. We started school and are back into the swing of things. Chloe was very excited to see her friends again. She was also very sad because one of her 'best' friends was not going to be at our school this year. I was also excited for her to start school because I missed some of the other moms that inspire me on our short walks back to our cars.

Laurel and Anabelle started school for the first time. They were so excited to have their backpacks and their lunch bags. They love school and seem to be pretty well behaved in the class. The first day of school they glued cut outs of different circles onto a paper. So when I get them up in the morning and say, "Are you ready to go to school?" They say, "I make circles!" So, if nothing else is learned this year in school, we will know what circles are:)

60s

Well, we had 2 surprise 60th Birthday Parties. On Friday we raced to Tulsa to surprise my mother in-law for her 60th. She was surprised, at least some:) We had dinner and then spent the next day doing fun things with everyone. The kids loved all of it.
